ALPHA DOG PR LAUNCHES DIY DOGGIE,

THE IPHONE MAGAZINE FOR DOG LOVERS

Americans will reportedly spend $44 billion on their beloved pets this year, a big portion of that goes toward the care of dogs. But owning a dog doesn't have to be expensive. In fact, what dogs really want is to spend time with their guardian. That's what DIY Doggie is all about: giving reader's ideas on ways to spend time with their dog without breaking the piggy bank.

"I wanted to share my knowledge and contacts with other people who are passionate about their dog," explains Editor-In-Chef Susan Hartzler. "We invite readers to enter our photo and essay contests so that they can show off their four legged best friend to 48 million iPhone users."

DIY Doggie will launch on the iPhone in November; each issue will be downloadable for just .99c. The magazine will tackle important issues that dog owners really want to know about including: "How to teach your dog to wear a hat."

Hartzler teamed up with Graphic Designer Michelle Hunt of Angry Girl Graphic Design to create DIY Doggie. The premier issue is packed with articles, photos and ads that every dog lover will appreciate. Readers are encouraged to enter the contests and show off their beloved best friend by visiting www.alphadogpr.com

Each issue of DIY Doggie will share unique ideas on bonding with your pet. One important method is to communicate with your dog and celebrated animal psychic Candi Cane Cooper will give tips each month. Leading dog masseuse, Pam Holt from Buddha Dog Massage, offers instructions on massaging your canine at home.

Dog product and service expert, Hartzler, will keep dog lovers up to date on the latest trends for canines from food, fashion, medical breakthroughs, safety and travel, issues surrounding elderly and handicapped canines, anything to do with performance and sport dogs, therapy and service dogs, and all forms of training. Each issue will include her personal training tips for dog tricks that are spun together in the form of Fairy Tails!

There will be product reviews giving readers the inside scoop on the items their dog will enjoy. All products are reviewed by DIY Doggie's resident canines, Baldwin & Bliss.

"We wanted to meet the challenging economy head on and help consumers make wise choices when spending their dollars," explains Hartzler.

DIY doggie also includes a recipe of the month for delicious home made goodies as well as important life saving information. Readers will get a kick out of the magazine's photo essay from photographer Craig Marks, an accomplished composer who creates a visual symphony for DIY Doggie using canines as his muses. There will be an important message from Bark Obama Dog giving us humans a canine perspective on politics and Angry Dog Max will share what makes him so mad.

DIY Doggie is supported by Alpha Dog Public Relations. Based in Los Angeles and a chosen resource for editors, producers, writers and reporters, Alpha Dog PR is dedicated to providing the media with the most up-to-the-minute information about the growing pet industry.
