Charity Gala for Dogs and their People Moves to Hamilton Farm Golf Club
Charity

The Canine Cotillion, St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center’s charity gala for dogs and their people, is moving to the heart of horse country in the Somerset Hills when the annual event is celebrated at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, New Jersey this spring.

Dogs and dog lovers are invited to attend this fun and furry affair on Saturday, March 28 at the exclusive golf club located at 1040 Pottersville Road in Gladstone. Ties and tails are optional and guests are welcome with or without canine companions.

The ninth annual Canine Cotillion will help raise much-needed funds to feed, shelter, and provide care for the nearly 4,000 animals that find safe refuge at St. Hubert’s animal shelters each year.

The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a gala cocktail reception followed by a seated, gourmet dinner for two-legged guests, served alongside their canine companions. Pampered pooches will be treated to doggie delicacies at the Bone Appetit Dog Bar, Silent and live auctions will add to the festivities, including prizes designed to transform your charismatic canine into a star.

This year’s Emcee is Mizar Turdiu, television broadcaster best known for her long-time tenure as anchor for News 12 New Jersey.  Now a recognized face in commercials, infomercials and Shopping Channels, Turdiu is bringing her talent and love of animals to this year’s event.

The 2009 Honorary Canine Co-host is a regal Belgian Malinois named Ruby who is spokesmodel for the event. Ruby is owned by Bill and Cindy Peskoff of Lebanon Township, NJ.

Guests will also have the opportunity to capture their memories with a photograph by award-winning portrait photographers from The Image Maker, and purchase “Rescue Ropes” which can be redeemed for prizes of equal or greater value with the proceeds benefiting St. Hubert’s.

Special thanks to Schering-Plough Corporation, this year’s Canine Cotillion main event sponsor.

Seating is limited.  Tickets are $275 per person, which includes admission for one dog. For more information or to make reservations, call 973-377-4962. Visit www.sthuberts.org for more information and photos from past Cotillions.
