Traveling Pets Take Center Stage

The store features a wide selection of pet travel products for the increasing number of people who travel with their pets. A sampling of merchandise includes vehicle pet harnesses, seat belts, protective seat covers, pet ramps, car seats, pet first-aid kits, travel bowls, leashes, dog packs, pet carriers, portable pet homes, and other pet travel-related items.

"We want to continue building our online community to serve the needs of our visitors," said Tom James, president of the company. "When someone comes to us looking for resources for traveling with their pets," he said, "we also want to provide them with safe and dependable products to make their pet travel experience fun and easy. Why should they have to go anywhere else?"

James, the former director of marketing for Global Pet Products, Inc., launched PetTravelCenter.com in November 2006 to fill a need for people to have a top of mind resource when considering traveling with their pets. The site offers special discount travel services, a photo gallery, an Ask the Vet feature, articles about pet travel and safety, pet travel tips, and directories for finding pet-friendly hotels, campgrounds, RV parks, dog parks, and other accommodations. The PTC Club provides members with a monthly newsletter to receive additional information and special discounts.

"We're delighted at the response from visitors all over the world," James said. "We are continually adding resources and directory listings to provide important information for our visitors, and they are posting photos of their pet travel experiences, asking our site vet questions, and actively participating in our online community. Our Pet Travel Products store is just one more way we can provide a service our visitors need."
